Last year’s trip had so many difficulties. There were so many things that didn’t go as I thought they would. This was because I depended on the travel company for all the arrangements. Even after paying such a huge amount, my trip wasn’t planned as I asked that company. So, this time I decided to make all the bookings myself.

After a lot of searching, I finalized the destination called “Merida”. I have friends who have been to this city of Mexico. And they gave me the idea to explore this destination. At first, I was a bit reluctant to visit this destination, but after searching and reading about this destination for days, I finalized this one. From making the flight bookings to hotel bookings, I did it all by myself.

This was such a special trip as our whole family was traveling together after so long. All of us always look for unique destinations, so we were very excited.

Finally, the day arrived, and we reached “Mérida International Airport”. I already made all the arrangements for the cab. So, we reached our hotel in no time. Our hotel “Hyatt Regency Merida” wasn’t very far away and also it was one of the best places to stay at. Along with this, there were many other properties too from which people can choose-

We started our trip the next day by visiting the “Plaza Grande”. This is the main square of this city. We got to know much about the lives of people and the culture of Merida by spending some time here. It was so long that our whole family spent such an amazing time together. So, we did it all here and clicked so many family pictures. After some hours, we headed to my favorite place “Paseo de Montejo”. There wasn’t an any better place for shopping and eating your favorite meal.

There was a lane of many restaurants and cafes. So, we decided to have our lunch here. There were such amazing eateries here. Along with having our lunch, we even visited the museums here.

On the next day, “El Gran Museo del Mundo Maya de Mérida” was the first we visited. Even my friends told me not to miss this museum as this was the most renowned museum in Merida. From ancient textiles to artifacts, sculptures, we witnessed all these things here.

From here we headed to “Celestún”. This was such a soothing place. We came across the creatures and wildlife of this city. I never visited a fishing village before, so it was a very unique and amazing experience. We even took a boat ride here and witnessed beautiful pink flamingos.

This was the last day of our trip. So, we had to wind up all our things and get ready for our flight back home. My brother made the bookings for United airlines flights. We always make bookings for this airline as the tickets are always very cheap and affordable. Yet again we relied on this airline and were able to book cheap united airlines flights. It was such a memorable and much-needed family vacation.
